I lost my Princess to cancer (lymphoma) exactly one week before her 14th birthday.  My husband had planned a party for her but it turned into a wake.

Princess received the name of Buddha Dog from her holistic vet who said the light shinning in her was incredible and reminded her of a Buddha. 

She fought her disease bravely.  We nearly lost her once but the wonderful doctors and students at Washington State University veterinary teaching hospital pulled her through and she was with me for another 10 months.  Time I will always treasure.

Princess never thought of herself as a dog and thusly never was one.  She was my best friend, comforter, cheer leader and much much more.

She took a big piece of my heart with her when she left for the Rainbow Bridge.  When it is my time to be reunited with her, I will bring her octalambie (toy) and she will bring to me that piece of my heart.

Until then she will remain in my thoughts forever.
